How to Watch Mission: Impossible - Fallout on Netflix in the US with a VPN (2026)

Mission: Impossible – Fallout (2018) is currently available on Netflix in Brazil, where the movie appears under the title Missão: Impossível – Efeito Fallout. The official Netflix Brazil page confirms that the action thriller starring Tom Cruise, Henry Cavill, and Rebecca Ferguson is part of the country’s streaming catalog, with English audio and subtitles.

However, Mission: Impossible – Fallout is not currently available on Netflix US. If you’re in the United States, you can try connecting to a Brazilian VPN server using Private Internet Access, ExpressVPN, or NordVPN. All three providers offer Brazilian IP addresses.

Keep in mind that connecting to Brazil does not guarantee access to the movie. According to Netflix’s VPN guidelines, the service may recognize VPN connections and limit the available catalog to movies and shows with worldwide distribution rights.

How to watch Mission: Impossible – Fallout on Netflix with a VPN

Since Netflix Brazil currently carries Mission: Impossible – Fallout, you can try connecting to a Brazilian VPN server before opening Netflix. Follow these steps:

1. Choose a VPN. Private Internet Access is our first recommendation, followed by ExpressVPN and NordVPN.
2. Download and install the VPN app.
3. Connect to a server in Brazil.
4. Fully close Netflix if it is already open.
5. Reopen Netflix after the VPN connects.
6. Sign in with your existing Netflix account.
7. Search for Mission: Impossible – Fallout.
8. Start playback if the title appears.

Brazil is a suitable location to try because the Netflix Brazil listing currently displays Mission: Impossible – Fallout without an unavailability warning. It also confirms original English audio, English subtitles, and offline downloads.

If the movie does not appear under its English name, try searching for Missão: Impossível – Efeito Fallout. Make sure you select the 2018 movie directed by Christopher McQuarrie rather than another installment in the franchise.

Best VPNs for watching Mission: Impossible – Fallout on Netflix

Private Internet Access, ExpressVPN, and NordVPN all provide Brazilian VPN connections. PIA includes a dedicated streaming-optimized option, ExpressVPN offers two physical São Paulo server locations, and NordVPN maintains more than 20 Brazilian servers.

VPN	Brazil locations	Option to try first
Private Internet Access (Editor’s Choice)	Brazil, BR Streaming Optimized; São Paulo IP location	BR Streaming Optimized
ExpressVPN	Brazil, Brazil – 2; physical São Paulo servers	Brazil
NordVPN	20+ Brazilian servers, São Paulo	Automatic Brazil server selection

These locations come from the providers’ official server directories. Although all three VPNs offer Brazilian IP addresses, none guarantees access to Mission: Impossible – Fallout through Netflix.

1. Private Internet Access

Private Internet Access is our Editor’s Choice for Mission: Impossible – Fallout because it offers a dedicated Brazil Streaming Optimized location alongside its standard Brazilian VPN connection.

According to the official PIA server directory, updated October 1, 2026, the available Brazilian locations include Brazil and BR Streaming Optimized.

Start with BR Streaming Optimized. PIA provides this location specifically for streaming performance, making it the first option worth trying when accessing Brazilian streaming services.

Open the PIA application, navigate to the server list, and search for Brazil. Select BR Streaming Optimized and connect before reopening Netflix.

If Mission: Impossible – Fallout does not appear, disconnect and switch to the standard Brazil location. You can also reconnect to BR Streaming Optimized to try another available Brazilian server.

PIA’s Brazil IP address guide identifies São Paulo as its Brazilian IP location. However, the application directory lists Brazil and BR Streaming Optimized rather than multiple separately selectable Brazilian cities.

There is an important detail about PIA’s Brazilian infrastructure. According to its official Brazil VPN page, PIA uses virtual Brazilian servers physically hosted outside Brazil.

This means PIA gives you a Brazilian IP address while the underlying server hardware operates in another country. The provider does not specify the exact physical hosting country in the documentation reviewed, so it would be inaccurate to name one.

PIA supports WireGuard and OpenVPN connections. WireGuard is a practical first choice for streaming because its lightweight design can provide efficient encrypted connections.

If Netflix does not display the movie, try switching between BR Streaming Optimized and the standard Brazil location. Changing VPN protocols or clearing browser cookies may also help with connection problems.

PIA provides additional recommendations in its streaming support guide, including reconnecting to another server and updating the VPN application.

Even with BR Streaming Optimized, Netflix may recognize PIA’s IP addresses and restrict regional content. PIA cannot guarantee that Mission: Impossible – Fallout will appear or play.

2. ExpressVPN

ExpressVPN is another option for connecting to Brazil. The provider offers two Brazilian server locations, giving users an alternative if one connection experiences problems.

The official ExpressVPN server directory currently lists Brazil and Brazil – 2. Both locations support multiple VPN protocols, including Lightway, WireGuard, and OpenVPN.

Start with Brazil. Open the ExpressVPN application, search for Brazil in the location list, and select the standard connection before reopening Netflix.

If Mission: Impossible – Fallout does not appear, disconnect and try Brazil – 2. This gives you another Brazilian IP address without requiring you to switch countries.

ExpressVPN’s São Paulo VPN page confirms that the provider maintains two physical server locations in São Paulo.

Unlike virtual locations that provide an IP address from one country while using hardware elsewhere, ExpressVPN’s Brazilian connections use physical servers located in Brazil.

Its virtual server documentation also confirms that Brazil does not appear among its virtual server locations. The provider states that its other locations use physical infrastructure within their respective countries.

ExpressVPN supports its Lightway protocol, which aims to establish secure connections efficiently. You can also try WireGuard or OpenVPN if you experience connection problems and your device supports those protocols.

The provider’s Brazil VPN page provides additional information about Brazilian IP addresses, supported devices, and connection options.

ExpressVPN also uses TrustedServer technology, which runs its VPN server software on RAM rather than storing operating data on traditional hard drives.

Although ExpressVPN provides physical servers in São Paulo, this does not guarantee access to Netflix Brazil. Netflix may still recognize the provider’s IP addresses as VPN connections and restrict regional titles.

If the movie does not appear, switch between Brazil and Brazil – 2, then reopen Netflix. Trying another Brazilian IP address may help with connection problems, but playback is not guaranteed.

3. NordVPN

NordVPN offers another way to connect to Brazil, with more than 20 Brazilian servers and automatic connection options.

According to NordVPN’s official Brazil server page, the provider currently advertises more than 20 Brazilian servers and identifies São Paulo as its Brazilian IP location.

For the first connection, open NordVPN, select Brazil, and allow the application to choose an available server automatically. This is a convenient starting point if you do not have a preferred server.

You can also choose a São Paulo connection through the available location controls. If Netflix does not display Mission: Impossible – Fallout, disconnect and reconnect to another Brazilian server.

NordVPN’s server-selection system considers your location and network conditions when choosing a connection. However, the automatically selected server may still use an IP address that Netflix recognizes as VPN traffic.

The provider’s published Brazilian server count may change as NordVPN expands or adjusts its network. Its official server page confirms São Paulo support but does not identify the physical hosting arrangement of every individual endpoint.

NordVPN also includes SmartPlay, a feature that combines VPN encryption with DNS technology to improve compatibility with streaming services.

According to NordVPN’s SmartPlay documentation, the feature activates automatically when you connect through the NordVPN application.

You do not need to enable SmartPlay separately, install an additional extension, or change your DNS settings. It works in the background as part of your regular VPN connection.

NordVPN also offers NordLynx, a protocol based on WireGuard technology that aims to provide efficient encrypted connections.

If you experience slow loading times or buffering, reconnecting to another Brazilian server may help. Actual performance depends on your internet connection, network conditions, and distance from the server.

However, SmartPlay does not guarantee access to Mission: Impossible – Fallout or any other regional Netflix movie. Netflix may still recognize NordVPN and limit the available catalog.

What to do if Mission: Impossible – Fallout does not appear

If Netflix does not display Mission: Impossible – Fallout after you connect to Brazil, your browser may retain previous location information, or Netflix may have recognized the VPN connection. Try these troubleshooting steps:

1. Close Netflix completely.
2. Disconnect from the VPN.
3. Reconnect to Brazil.
4. Try another server or location in the same country.
5. Clear Netflix cookies and your browser cache.
6. Open a private or incognito browser window.
7. Reopen Netflix and sign in again.
8. Search for Mission: Impossible – Fallout.

Private Internet Access users should start with BR Streaming Optimized, followed by the standard Brazil location. ExpressVPN users can switch between Brazil and Brazil – 2. NordVPN users can reconnect automatically or select another available Brazilian server associated with São Paulo.

You can also search for Missão: Impossível – Efeito Fallout, the Portuguese title Netflix uses in Brazil. Make sure you select the 2018 movie starring Tom Cruise and Henry Cavill.

If the movie still does not appear, Netflix may be restricting its catalog because of VPN detection. The Netflix missing titles guide explains other possible causes, including regional licensing changes, maturity restrictions, and language preferences.

Netflix may detect the VPN

A VPN changes the public IP address Netflix sees when your device connects to the service. For example, connecting to a Brazilian VPN server generally gives Netflix a Brazilian IP address instead of your regular US address.

However, a Brazilian IP address does not guarantee access to the country’s Netflix catalog. Netflix may recognize that the connection comes from a VPN provider and limit which movies and shows appear.

According to Netflix’s official VPN support page, users connecting through a VPN may only see titles for which Netflix holds worldwide distribution rights.

That means Mission: Impossible – Fallout may remain unavailable in your Netflix search results even when your VPN application shows Brazil as the connected country.

Trying another Brazilian server may resolve some connection problems, but Netflix can still restrict regional playback. No VPN provider guarantees access to every Netflix catalog.

Can you use a Netflix ad-supported plan with a VPN?

No. Netflix currently states that its ad-supported experience does not support VPN connections.

If you subscribe to Netflix with ads, you may encounter playback errors or VPN-related restrictions when connecting through Private Internet Access, ExpressVPN, or NordVPN.

Netflix confirms this limitation in its VPN support documentation. To use an ad-supported subscription normally, disconnect your VPN.

An ad-free Netflix subscription avoids this particular restriction, but Netflix may still detect VPN connections and limit access to region-specific movies.

Does changing the VPN location change your Netflix account?

No. Connecting to a Brazilian VPN server does not change your Netflix email address, password, profiles, or existing account credentials.

The VPN changes the public IP address Netflix sees. It does not automatically convert your US Netflix subscription into a Brazilian account or modify your login information.

You can continue signing in with your existing Netflix credentials. However, the movies and shows Netflix displays may depend on regional licensing restrictions, account settings, and whether the service recognizes your VPN connection.

The Netflix US title page does not currently provide independent confirmation that Mission: Impossible – Fallout is available for streaming in the United States. Current US streaming listings instead identify Paramount+, YouTube TV, FXNow, and other services.

When you disconnect from the VPN, Netflix generally recognizes your regular internet location again without changing your account settings.

Which VPN should you use?

Private Internet Access is our first recommendation because it offers a dedicated BR Streaming Optimized location alongside its standard Brazilian VPN connection. Both provide Brazilian IP addresses through virtual server infrastructure, although Netflix may still detect the VPN.

ExpressVPN is a useful alternative thanks to its two physical São Paulo server locations. NordVPN also offers more than 20 Brazilian servers and includes SmartPlay, which activates automatically when you connect.

Netflix Brazil currently carries Mission: Impossible – Fallout (2018), making Brazil the verified international region for this guide. However, licensing agreements, VPN detection, and server availability can change, so connecting to Brazil does not guarantee playback from the United States.
