How to Watch The Best Christmas Pageant Ever on Netflix in the US with a VPN (2026)

The Best Christmas Pageant Ever (2024) is available on Netflix in Belgium. Directed by Dallas Jenkins and starring Judy Greer, Pete Holmes, and Molly Belle Wright, this family comedy follows six troublemaking children who unexpectedly become the stars of a church Christmas performance. You can find the movie on the official Netflix Belgium title page. Some Belgian streaming listings also identify the movie by its French title, Les Pires Enfants de l’histoire du monde.

Unfortunately, The Best Christmas Pageant Ever is not currently available through Netflix US. Viewers looking into international Netflix catalogs may consider Private Internet Access, ExpressVPN, or NordVPN, all of which offer Belgian VPN connections. These services provide Belgian IP addresses, although connecting to Belgium does not necessarily make the Belgian Netflix catalog available to someone in the United States.

Netflix actively detects VPN connections and may show only titles with worldwide licensing instead of movies licensed exclusively to Belgium. Its official VPN support policy explains these limitations. VPN services also have their own usage restrictions, so a Belgian server connection cannot guarantee that The Best Christmas Pageant Ever will appear or play.

How to watch The Best Christmas Pageant Ever on Netflix with a VPN

Netflix Belgium currently lists The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, but availability depends on licensing, account eligibility, and Netflix’s VPN detection. If your circumstances and the applicable service terms permit a Belgian connection, the following steps explain how to check whether Netflix offers the movie.

1. Choose a VPN provider. Private Internet Access is our first choice for its Belgian server options, followed by ExpressVPN and NordVPN. Review each provider’s terms before proceeding.
2. Download and install the official VPN application on your Windows PC, Mac, smartphone, or another supported device.
3. Open the VPN application and select Belgium. PIA offers Belgium and BE Streaming Optimized, while ExpressVPN and NordVPN provide connections associated with Brussels.
4. Close Netflix completely, including any browser tabs or applications that remain open in the background.
5. Reconnect to Netflix after establishing the VPN connection, allowing the service to evaluate your current connection.
6. Sign in with your existing Netflix account. You do not need to create another account simply to check whether a title appears.
7. Search for The Best Christmas Pageant Ever using Netflix’s search feature. You can also check its official title page.
8. Start playback if the movie appears in your available catalog and Netflix permits streaming through your connection.

Belgium is the country to check because its official Netflix page currently identifies the correct 2024 film and provides English audio and subtitle information. JustWatch Belgium independently lists the movie as part of Netflix’s subscription catalog.

You can use the Netflix Belgium movie listing to confirm the title, release year, and cast. However, opening a country-specific Netflix link does not force Netflix to provide that country’s viewing rights.

If searching by the original English name produces no results, check the alternate title Les Pires Enfants de l’histoire du monde. A missing search result can indicate a licensing restriction rather than a problem with your VPN connection.

Best VPNs for watching The Best Christmas Pageant Ever on Netflix

Private Internet Access, ExpressVPN, and NordVPN all provide Belgian VPN locations. Their main differences involve server selection, protocols, streaming features, and troubleshooting options.

VPN	Server locations in Belgium	Option to try first
Private Internet Access (Editor’s Choice)	Belgium (Brussels) and BE Streaming Optimized	Belgium; use BE Streaming Optimized where permitted
ExpressVPN	Belgium (Brussels)	Belgium with Automatic protocol selection
NordVPN	Belgium (Brussels)	Belgium with NordLynx

These locations come from the VPN providers’ official documentation. A streaming-optimized connection may improve general streaming performance, but it does not establish permission to access regional Netflix content or guarantee playback.

1. Private Internet Access

Private Internet Access (PIA) is our Editor’s Choice for Belgian VPN connectivity because it offers a standard Belgium location and a separately identified BE Streaming Optimized option. This gives users more flexibility when selecting a connection for privacy and permitted streaming.

According to the official PIA server location directory, the application includes both Belgium and BE Streaming Optimized. PIA also identifies Brussels as its Belgian server city.

The provider advertises 10-Gbps infrastructure for its Brussels servers. That infrastructure can help handle high-bandwidth activities, although actual performance depends on distance, network congestion, your internet connection, and the device you use.

For everyday Belgian VPN connectivity, start with the regular Belgium location. Users streaming content that they are permitted to access can also select BE Streaming Optimized, which PIA specifically provides for streaming performance.

To find either connection, open the PIA application and select the VPN SERVER section. Search for Belgium to locate the regular connection, or enter streaming to find the available streaming-optimized locations. Choose the appropriate entry and press the power button to connect.

PIA supports WireGuard and OpenVPN. WireGuard generally offers a lightweight connection suitable for everyday browsing and video streaming, while OpenVPN provides an established alternative when you encounter connection problems.

If playback buffers or websites fail to load, check your internet speed without the VPN and compare it with your VPN connection. You can also disconnect and reconnect to Belgium to obtain a different available connection. If the regular Belgium endpoint has a technical issue, BE Streaming Optimized provides a second officially documented Belgian option.

PIA publishes a list of locations that use virtual servers. Belgium does not appear among the virtual locations in the documentation reviewed, while its Belgian service page explicitly advertises Brussels servers. PIA has not provided a separate physical-hosting breakdown for every Belgian endpoint in the cited material.

Browser cookies can also affect how websites handle sessions. Clear outdated Netflix cookies, restart your browser, and make sure the PIA application uses its latest version when troubleshooting legitimate connection issues.

However, there is an important limitation. PIA’s official streaming guidance explicitly prohibits using its service to circumvent geographic restrictions imposed by content providers. It instructs customers to connect to a server in their actual country for permitted streaming.

Therefore, PIA’s Belgian connection should not be treated as an authorized method of accessing Netflix Belgium from the United States. Its value here lies in its verified Belgian network, privacy features, and streaming capabilities for uses that comply with the relevant terms.

2. ExpressVPN

ExpressVPN is another option for users who want a Belgian IP address. Its official Belgium VPN page confirms a connection in Brussels, and the provider offers native applications for Windows, macOS, Android, iOS, and several streaming devices.

ExpressVPN keeps server selection straightforward. After installing the application, sign in, open the server location menu, and search for Belgium. Select the Belgian location and connect.

According to the ExpressVPN Belgium server page, its Belgian infrastructure uses servers physically located within Belgium. This distinguishes it from ExpressVPN’s virtual locations, where the physical hardware operates in a different country from the assigned IP address.

Brussels is the specific Belgian city documented by ExpressVPN. The provider does not identify additional Belgian cities in the current material, so users should not assume that Antwerp, Ghent, or other Belgian cities are selectable alternatives.

ExpressVPN supports several connection protocols, including Lightway, WireGuard, and OpenVPN. Lightway focuses on connection speed and stability, particularly when switching between networks.

The easiest starting point is Automatic protocol selection. ExpressVPN can then choose an appropriate protocol for the device and network conditions. The provider’s official server directory lists the protocol options supported by Belgium.

If a connection becomes unstable, try Lightway UDP first and Lightway TCP if necessary. WireGuard and OpenVPN provide additional options on supported devices. These protocol changes address VPN connection problems, not Netflix licensing restrictions.

For viewers using slower internet connections, minimizing unnecessary background downloads and keeping the VPN application updated may improve general video performance. A wired connection can also help when unstable Wi-Fi causes buffering.

ExpressVPN operates shared Belgian IP addresses and offers an optional dedicated IP service. However, a dedicated IP does not guarantee access to region-specific Netflix titles, and there is no reliable basis for claiming that it will bypass Netflix detection.

The official ExpressVPN server directory provides further details about virtual locations, supported protocols, and connection availability.

ExpressVPN can provide privacy protection for legitimate Belgian connections, but users must still follow Netflix’s service conditions. Switching protocols or obtaining a new IP address cannot guarantee that The Best Christmas Pageant Ever will become available.

3. NordVPN

NordVPN is the third recommendation for Belgian VPN connectivity. Its official server directory lists Belgium with one city, and its dedicated IP documentation identifies Brussels as that city.

The provider offers regular VPN connections and additional security features through its applications. NordVPN’s official server directory identifies the country and available server categories.

NordVPN does not publish a reliable current Belgium-specific server count in the official sources reviewed for this article. As a result, it would be misleading to quote a precise Belgian server total.

To connect, install the NordVPN application, sign in, and search for Belgium in the location selector. Selecting the country allows the application to establish a connection to an available Belgian server.

Users who want more control can inspect individual servers or use NordVPN’s server recommendation and manual configuration tools where their application supports them. This can help troubleshoot a slow or unstable VPN connection.

NordVPN uses NordLynx, a protocol based on WireGuard. The company recommends NordLynx for everyday connections because it offers efficient performance without requiring manual WireGuard configuration.

Another relevant feature is SmartPlay. According to NordVPN’s official SmartPlay documentation, the technology automatically activates when users connect through the NordVPN application.

SmartPlay combines VPN connection features with DNS-related technology to support secure streaming. Users do not need to install another application or activate a separate SmartPlay setting.

However, SmartPlay does not guarantee that Netflix will show movies licensed to a particular country. Netflix may recognize the VPN and limit the available catalog even when SmartPlay operates correctly.

If NordVPN connects successfully but web pages respond slowly, disconnect and reconnect to Belgium. You can also inspect the available Belgian servers or check whether NordLynx is active in the connection settings.

NordVPN’s official documentation identifies Brussels as a supported Belgian location, but the sources reviewed do not establish the exact physical hosting details of every Belgian server. Users should not assume additional city choices or hosting arrangements without confirmation.

NordVPN provides a practical Belgian connection option for privacy and permitted streaming, but Netflix retains control over regional title availability.

What to do if The Best Christmas Pageant Ever does not appear

If Netflix does not display The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, the problem may involve regional licensing, VPN detection, cached browser information, or your Netflix profile settings. Follow these checks only where your use complies with Netflix’s and your VPN provider’s terms.

1. Close Netflix completely, including browser tabs and any background application sessions.
2. Disconnect from your VPN to reset the existing connection.
3. Reconnect to Belgium if the service terms permit that connection for your intended use.
4. Try another available server or location within Belgium to investigate a technical connectivity problem.
5. Clear Netflix cookies and your browser cache to remove outdated session information.
6. Open a private or incognito browser window to check whether browser extensions or cached information affect the site.
7. Reopen Netflix and sign in with your existing account credentials.
8. Search for The Best Christmas Pageant Ever again and check whether Netflix offers the title through your connection.

For Private Internet Access, the documented Belgian options are Belgium and BE Streaming Optimized. If the regular location produces connectivity errors, the streaming-optimized entry offers a different connection option for permitted streaming.

ExpressVPN users can reconnect to Belgium, check the VPN’s connection status, or change between supported protocols. The company confirms Brussels as its Belgian server city, but it does not document additional Belgian cities that users can select.

NordVPN users can reconnect to Belgium, inspect another available server, and check whether NordLynx is working properly. SmartPlay runs automatically and does not require a separate activation process.

Remember that the movie also appears under the French title Les Pires Enfants de l’histoire du monde in Belgian streaming listings. Searching by that title may help identify the correct movie.

Netflix’s official missing-title troubleshooting guide explains that movies may disappear because of regional rights, profile restrictions, language preferences, or VPN detection.

If Netflix continues to hide the movie, changing servers may not resolve the issue. Netflix can restrict VPN users to globally licensed titles, and VPN providers cannot guarantee access to regional movies. PIA also expressly prohibits circumventing content providers’ geographic restrictions.

Netflix may detect the VPN

A VPN routes internet traffic through a remote server and changes the public IP address that websites see. Connecting to a Belgian VPN server can make the connection appear to originate from Belgium, but Netflix uses its own systems to determine which content a viewer can access.

Netflix licenses many movies for specific countries. Although The Best Christmas Pageant Ever appears in the Belgian catalog, that licensing arrangement does not automatically give US subscribers permission or technical access to the movie.

When Netflix recognizes a VPN connection, it may display only movies and television shows with worldwide licensing. In other cases, users may encounter missing titles or playback errors.

The Netflix VPN and proxy troubleshooting page explains these connection restrictions and recommends turning off VPN services when they interfere with playback.

No VPN provider can promise permanent access to a particular Netflix catalog. Changes in licensing, server IP recognition, and Netflix policies can affect availability at any time.

Can you use a Netflix ad-supported plan with a VPN?

No. Netflix does not support VPN connections for its ad-supported experience. This restriction applies even when the VPN itself connects successfully.

If you use an ad-supported Netflix subscription while connected to a VPN, you may receive a playback error or a message asking you to disable the VPN.

Netflix’s official guidance for ad-supported VPN errors identifies this limitation and recommends disconnecting from the VPN to restore playback.

An ad-free Netflix subscription avoids that particular plan restriction, but it does not remove Netflix’s regional licensing controls or VPN detection systems.

Therefore, upgrading to an ad-free plan does not guarantee that The Best Christmas Pageant Ever will become available through a Belgian VPN connection.

Does changing the VPN location change your Netflix account?

Changing a VPN server location does not automatically change your Netflix account’s registered country, password, billing information, or existing profiles.

The VPN changes the public IP address visible to online services, while Netflix retains control over account details and catalog availability.

According to Netflix’s account country guidance, users cannot change their account country simply by selecting another VPN location. Netflix also warns that VPN use may limit the catalog to titles available worldwide.

For US viewers, alternative streaming services provide another way to watch the movie without relying on a regional Netflix catalog. The JustWatch US streaming availability page lists Peacock, Starz-related options, digital rentals, and purchase options. Check those listings again before subscribing because streaming rights can change.

Which VPN should you use?

Private Internet Access is our first recommendation for Belgian VPN connectivity because it provides both Belgium and BE Streaming Optimized locations, Brussels infrastructure, and a choice between WireGuard and OpenVPN. These features make PIA flexible for privacy and permitted streaming. However, PIA explicitly prohibits circumventing geographical restrictions imposed by content providers, so its Belgian servers should not be presented as an authorized way to access Netflix Belgium from the US.

ExpressVPN is a useful alternative with documented Brussels servers, Lightway, WireGuard, OpenVPN, and straightforward location selection. NordVPN also supports Brussels and provides NordLynx and automatically enabled SmartPlay. Both services offer Belgian connections, but neither guarantees access to Belgian Netflix titles.

As of November 3, 2026, Netflix Belgium lists The Best Christmas Pageant Ever (2024), while JustWatch US does not list it as part of Netflix’s American catalog. Belgium is therefore a verified international Netflix location for the movie. Nevertheless, regional licensing, Netflix VPN detection, subscription restrictions, and individual VPN provider terms mean that US viewers cannot rely on a VPN connection to play it. Checking legitimate US streaming options remains the most dependable alternative.
